Web Design
You need a website. I can do this. We can come up with a unique and friendly way to get the message across. Your target audience will find you easily, they'll enjoy the experience on your new and kooky yet surprisingly usable site, they'll get what they need and they'll come back for more.
You need a blog. I can do this too. Blogs are a great way to show off what you know and keep your website fresh without having to bother with uploads, downloads, code, and other things you don't have time to mess with. All you need to know is how to type and there you go, fresh content for all to return to.
You should know that I've set up blogs in Movable Type, Wordpress, Blogger and Mephisto. If you don't know what that means, we can talk about it and figure out what kind of blog is best for you.
Email Marketing
Email marketing is a great way to stay in touch with your fans, customers, clients, or whoever is supposed to be looking at your website.
I personally love a lot of things, but don't have time check for tour dates and cd releases from all of my favorite artists, events at every local venue, and new merchandise from all of my favorite stores. I rely on businesses to keep me informed otherwise they'll likely be replaced with someone else who does. Pretty HTML newsletters and announcements are a great way to remind people why they love you.
Handmade Paper Stuff
Handmade paper stuff - I enjoy these time consuming projects most of all. I'm a sucker for limited edition media - prints, posters, records, cds - you name it. If it's 1 of 250 or less, I have to have it. My personal business cards, cassette tape covers, and CD covers are all handmade - one by one. There is an inner dialogue in which one becomes engaged when recieving handmade media - a business card for example:
First, confusion.
"What colorful scrap have you just unloaded into my sweaty little paw?"
The information is processing, they're perplexed, but they're working it out.
"Why, it seems that for some reason you have painted and written on each side of this heavy cardstock to resemble something of a business card!"
Finally, acceptance.
"Wow, a one of a kind 2" x 3.5" functional work of art, just for me."
Wouldn't you like to have that kind of impact on your future contacts?
How much does it cost?
There are a lot of factors when coming up with a quote. My time, your timeframe, the nature of the work, and if you've got some pretty things to trade. Get in touch and we can talk about it.
I strongly believe in the bartering system and there are a lot of things I need so be sure to make mention of it if you think you've got something I might like. I favor offerings of musical instruments, records, handbags, and colorful shoes (size 9). Good old fashioned cash and PayPal are preferred... unless you've got some really far out instruments, records, handbags, or shoes.
